training week–a typical day

Hello there. Currently, E is busy leading a training session on leading a small group. Yesterday, he asked me to share the schedule for a typical day during training week.

7am Wake up
7:45 Breakfast–our mealtimes are staggered because another larger group is also meeting here.
8:30 Morning team devotions led by E
9:00 Training block 1 which is a track designed for teachers. Each attendee chooses a training track.
10:00 Break/team building
10:15 Training block 2: worship leading
11:25 Break/team building
11:45 Lunch
13:30 Training block 3: small group leading (military time is used here)
15:30 Break/team building
15:45 Training block 4: Teaching. Another session designed to give feedback to teachers who were given an assignment in the morning training block.
16:30 Break/team building
16:45 Dinner
18:30 Evening team devotions
19:30 Prayer groups
20:00 Evening snack
21:00 Wash up
22:00 Lights out

E has been teaching in all of the training blocks. The teachers have been working on a lesson all week and at the end of the week will deliver their message.

The worship leaders are reading through a worship leading document that E produced during his sabbatical. They are using the time during other training blocks to practice as they will lead worship next week during Summer Camp.

The small group leaders are going through training material E produced and used for the small group leaders in the high school fellowship at our church.

In the evenings, E has been trying to prepare the messages he will deliver next week in Summer Camp for the young adult track. As you can imagine, this week has been quite full for him.

Please pray for energy and adequate rest during these long days. It is tiring but it is also encouraging to see how God is working in the leaders here. We are grateful to be a part of it.
