home.

I’ve been absent from this space for a bit. We’ve had days full of fun and activity. So much so that one of the kids asked for a day of staying home and doing nothing. It’s been really busy in a fun way. I’ve had little time for crafting–which is a key to my sanity. I have so many sewing and crafting ideas and my mental list of projects keeps growing. Despite this, I managed to make myself a pair of wooly slippers. Perfect for these humid, 90 degree days, no?

Since January, Turtlestar had been in hibernation. I’ve managed a few simple sewing projects but nothing for Turtlestar. I realized that my personality is not disposed to be an entrepreneur, neither is my life stage. Turtlestar will emerge again, probably in a different form. After all, it’s hibernation not termination. (Thanks to those of you that have been encouraging and supportive.)

Lastly, you might like to know that e successfully made it home last night from Sweden via Iceland. We at home didn’t know exactly when he would return since we didn’t have the flight information. All worked out, thanks to an email from the contact in Scandinavia. e’s got a lot to process and share in the days to come. In the meantime, he and the boys are playing outside–throwing balls, launching stomp rockets and making up games. Time for me to join them!
