small. cute.

lily of the valleyYou could use those two words to describe quite a few things around here–this is one of them. Keeping with the garden theme, I found these growing on our side yard. The lily of the valley is an “extremely hardy” plant that requires little to no maintenance. Perfect! And small and cute.

By the way, I posted two pictures related to the turtlestar project–finished products and my set up. I also put up two shots of a recent endeavor: turning a chair from Salvation Army into something nice. I bought the fabric (a tablecloth), foam and cord for piping. Total cost? $75 plus my time. Maybe I’ll get a shot of it at it’s home in e’s home office. Take a look here.

That’s funny. I thought a post entitled “Small and Cute” would be about one of our children, our pet chinchilla, or my wife. My small and cute wife didn’t mention that the lily of the valley is not only small and cute, it’s also poisonous. Maybe that’s why she didn’t compare herself to that.
