e promised we’d let you know the efficacy of the placebo. Well, it did it’s job quite well. Especially since it’s the pleasant tasting “pei pa ko,” however it’s spelled. Placebos are powerful for this kid. A couple days ago his eye was irritated, probably from the unfamiliar dust in CA. (The dust of home is less irritating.) I gave him Claritin. As he walked away, he said, “My eye feels MUCH better!” Could it work that quickly?

Are you implying that your “pei pa ko” (Is that really how they spelled it on the bottle?) isn’t the medicinal miracle that I grew up with? It’s not in your blog, but maybe the child’s cough went away after a day or two of dosing?

We didn’t continue with dosing him. Somehow all was well in the morning.
