hello, hello.

Well, it’s getting near bedtime around here, mine that is. Nearly everyone else is asleep.

The previous post was nearly three weeks ago! I’m glad to say I’ve been working on my various projects. I’ve gotten to three out of the six items I listed last time. Using 1.5 gallons of pumpkin is probably an unfair task for my list–I’m down to 6 cups! Thanks to a crafty chicken I know, (of whom I think reads this blog and hopefully knows who she is) I’ve gotten into the dangerously time sapping world of craft blogs. So much information is out there. It’s like cool water to my craft-parched soul.

You may not be interested in the world of crafting but this may interest you. I feel that I’m relearning the way that God has created me and how I ought to life a freeing full life in Him. Sounds lofty, eh? I believe that we are all created by our Maker and he has a specific niche for us. A saving faith in God is a very important first step. Then what? I have a set of spiritual gifts that work in combination with my talents. For example, my gift of helping combined with my enjoyment of cooking are at work when I’m showing hospitality or hosting a meeting at our home. Another way I see this is when the gift of wisdom is used with my love for sewing. As I work on a project I often pray over people and their situations, often it is then that God gives me insight. If you have no idea what either your spiritual gifts are or what you’re talents are, I strongly suggest you find out! How? Oh that would be another very long topic. One that e probably has a lot to say about.

Ah, but another evening has slipped away. Off to bed for me!

Yup. I’m hoping that I can have a higher project completion to bright idea ratio. Someday, someday.

And here I thought I was the only one sucked into the slightly disturbing and time consuming on-line crafting world…
