Hello, we’re still here. I had to look at my calendar in order to write this post. Elijah came to visit. Then there were doctor’s appointments, a field trip for O, some Cub Scout events, a couple of runny noses.
Ministry keeps on moving along. At times, I wonder if we are directing it or if ministry is sweeping by dragging us along. We are grateful for the opportunities that God has set before us despite our weariness. This is an exciting time to be at BCEC. Three personnel positions have been filled in the past month and we’re glad to see these familiar faces in them. The position of Youth Director remains unstaffed. God’s continuing to use faithful lay people in the youth ministry and Enoch has been helping out with teaching on Friday nights. In addition, BCEC will soon vote on whether to continue pursuing physical expansion in Chinatown. There’s an actual resolution that will be voted upon but to avoid messing up, I’ll leave it at that.
In family news, Evan has joined cub scouts. We think it’s an activity that will suit his temperament and hope that he’ll learn a lot as well as develop some friendships along the way. O’s been in school nearly 2 months and we’ve seen him mature into being “big” as he calls it. He’s also growing into his role as an older brother. Little k has been learning new tricks but I’m on to him! He’s talking to us (only I really understand), climbing things, chasing down dogs twice his size and those quick hands get into everything!
What about us adults? Well, I’ll save that for another post. Yawn, I’m still on EDT.
