from the mouth of a child

As O has increased his vocabulary, he’s expressing himself in new ways. Here are some recent examples.

“I turned off the light and I was filled with darkness.”

“Baba, your shorts don’t match. Grey doesn’t match. I don’t think it’s a good idea.”

Or this following a discussion about my dad being in heaven:

k: Do you believe in Jesus like Kun Kun (my dad) did?
O: Yes.
k: Are you are sorry for the wrong things you have done?
O: Yeah.
k: So you know that God has forgiven you?
O: Yeah but first I had to brush my teeth.

His reasoning and logic concern us a little. Mostly, though, it’s been fun to hear what he says–he cracks us up.

Jess, yup, that’s classic O as well. He’s got this ability to recite lines from videos, video games and songs. Sometimes we really have to think awhile to know what he’s talking about.

hmm…an ability to recite lines from media…don’t have to go very far in the family to find where he gets that from. so cute. i can’t wait to see him in action.

p.s. i think uncle daniel would say that there is nothing wrong with making sure your teeth are clean before you get to the important stuff.
